We walked along Váci utca in Budapest, which is closed to traffic, and looked for something for dinner. The menus of all of the restaurants looked so similar that we didn’t know which to pick until Fatál Étterem welcomed us in with its outdoor patio with a big glowing heat lamp. It turns out we randomly ended up at the place that every guide to Budapest recommends to tourists. I have no idea why. But Antonio Banderas and Ralph Fiennes have also eaten here, so . . . it must be good? I got the beef goulash.
